Hi, I’m Sam! I’ve been in the hair industry for over a decade, with experience spanning from PA, CA and NYC. I’m an east coast native and have dreamt of doing hair (especially in NYC) for as long as I can remember. After a wide range of experiences, I decided it was finally time to go completely on my own. And so, Niche was born. Chosen as a play on words, meant to represent the love for my craft, but more importantly my desire to give clients an experience unlike other hair services. Niche is an intimate studio space located in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. My philosophy and goal with hair is simple: to give you hair that lasts months, not weeks. That’s why I specialize in low-maintenance, lived-in color and cuts. (Always down for a total transformation, too!) No matter what you’re going for, I aim to always give a look that complements you and your style best. I take pride in being extremely attentive, detail-oriented and prioritizing everything you like (and don’t like). When you’re in my chair, my goal is for you to feel heard, seen and overall taken care of. I believe your hair experience should be relaxing and for the attention to be solely on you. I also pride myself on transparency and communication. The most important thing to me is that you love your hair and you leave with a smile on your face and major boost of confidence.
